Mark rides the last flying B-24
Friday, April 24, 2009
On Friday April 24, 2009, Mark was fortunate to catch a ride on the “Witchcraft,” the last flying B-24 Liberator. The “Witchcraft” is a B-24 just like the “Boomerang” that Mark’s dad, Charles Arnett flew in WWII.
“It was an exhilarating experience.” Mark recounts. “I have crawled into a few B-24’s over the years at air museums, but actually flying in one gave me more respect for the plane. It was as windy and as noisy as I expected, but it flew much smoother than I thought it would. The inflight movie was pretty good too.”
